Ford Transit Mk7 instrument cluster repair
We repair your own Transit Mk7 instrument cluster by post and return it bench tested within 2 working days of arrival. Same mileage, same keys, no coding, so your van is back to work quickly.
- Your mileage stays the same
- Keys keep working, no coding
- Lifetime warranty on the repair
- Test report with every repair
If your Transit does any of these, the cluster is the usual cause.
Transit clusters live a hard life. Vibration and heat crack the solder joints on the circuit board, and the stepper motors that drive the needles wear out with high mileage.
We repair the board itself rather than swapping in a used unit, so your mileage and key data stay put and nothing needs reprogramming.
Fault codes a garage or code reader often shows with these symptoms.
- Dash goes dead, flickers or cuts out, then comes back
- Speedo, rev counter or temperature needle stuck, erratic or dropping to zero
- Fuel gauge reading wrong or not moving
- Mileage display or LCD missing segments, faint or blank
- Warning lights flickering or all on at once
- Van won't start and the immobiliser light flashes
- Backlighting out or dim
Check your part number.
We repair instrument clusters from the Ford Transit Mk7 (2006 to 2014) in van, minibus and chassis cab versions.
The part number is on a label on the back of the cluster and contains 10849, for example 6C1T-10849. If yours looks different, send us the number and we'll confirm before you book.
Can't read the label? Send us the details and we'll confirm.
Repaired, bench tested and reported.
Every repair finishes on our diagnostic test bench. It runs the cluster the way your vehicle does, sweeps every needle, checks every warning light and the display, then leaves it powered for 2 hours to catch faults that only show once warm.
Your unit comes back with the printed report, photos of the mileage before and after, and a lifetime warranty on the repaired fault.

About 15 minutes with basic tools.
Disconnect the battery first. Remove the trim surround around the cluster to expose the fixing screws.
Undo the screws, ease the cluster forward and unplug the connector on the back. Refitting is the reverse.
Pack it in a padded box with plenty of bubble wrap and send it with a tracked service. Don't post the trim or any screws.
Four steps. Usually back with you within a week.

Transit cluster questions.
Will my mileage change?
No. Your mileage stays exactly as it was. We record and photograph it on arrival and before return.
Does the cluster need coding after the repair?
No. You get your own unit back with its key and immobiliser data, so it plugs straight back in.
How quickly can I have my van back?
Book Express and Special Delivery and most vans are back on the road within 2 to 3 working days of posting. Standard service is usually 4 to 6 days door to door.
Do you repair fleet vans?
Yes. Book each van separately so each cluster has its own reference and test report, or contact us about several at once.
What if it's not the cluster?
If your cluster passes every bench test, we keep £25 for the testing, refund the rest and return it with the report.
